Customers and Service (vent session, beware)

There are times when I think that maybe I'm not in the right line of work. I think I'm pretty good with customers, nice and all that... but there are times when I just want to say, "What are you thinking?!?". People can just be so stinkin' rude!
So this is what I would like to say to all the rude people out there. All the people who think they are better just because for a moment in time, they are the customer and they are supposedly "right". All the people who don't care. All the people who want, want, want, and want it right now! All the people who think they are the only customer who counts. All the people who think they will demand mayonnaise because they wanted it and didn't get it and can't just ask nicely because after all, they must be the only people the waitress is helping and therefore she/he must be able to remember everything they want. All the people who think directions magically appear on lables and insurances are magically billed and since it's already in a tube, why don't you just give it to me?!@?. All the people who are SNOTTY. All the people who glare at the people helping them and expect to be the most important person all day. All the people who don't understand stress. All the people who are snobby. All the people who think if they WHINE loud enough, they'll get what they want. All the people who try to use coupons that are expired and complain because they want it at the cheaper price. All the people who yell at the "peons", the supervisor and the managers, just because they know they can.

To all of those people, listen to what I have to say because this is for you:

SUCK IT UP! YOU ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT! I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO IN MY LIFE THAN TO HELP YOU, YOU ARROGANT JERK, LIKE CLEAN OUT THE LITTER BOX! THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU, IN FACT EVERYBODY AROUND YOU THINKS YOU ARE AN INFECTED LITTLE SCAB THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO PICK OFF THEIR DIRTY LITTLE KNEE SO YOU WON'T BE SUCH AN ANNOYANCE! JUST... SHUT... UP!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S GOOD AND RIGHT, SHUT UP!!! NOBODY CARES WHAT YOUR NAME IS AND HOW MUCH YOU SPEND AT THIS STORE! NOBODY CARES HOW MUCH YOU THINK YOU'VE BEEN WRONGED BY HAVING TO WAIT 10 MINUTES FOR SOMETHING THAT TAKES 15 MINUTES TO DO! AND IF YOU ARE SICK, MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE TURNED IN THAT PRESCRIPTION A MONTH AGO WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN!!! NO, I DIDN'T REMEMBER YOUR NAME BECAUSE I THINK YOU ARE IMPORTANT, I REMEMBER YOUR NAME BECAUSE THE LAST TIME YOU WERE HERE YOU WERE A JERK AND I TOLD EVERYBODY ABOUT IT! YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT, WE ALL KNOW ABOUT YOU! WHY DON'T YOU WORK RETAIL FOR A WHILE AND SEE JUST HOW IMPORTANT YOU ARE?!?
SHUT YOUR WHINING, COMPLAINING, FOUL, SNEERING, WHIMPERING, SNIVELING, "ME-ME-ME", LOUD, NEVER-ENDING, ARROGANT, DEPRESSING, EVER-PESSIMISTIC, I'LL-GO-SOMEWHERE-ELSE, THE-CUSTOMER-IS-ALWAYS-RIGHT, I-PAY-YOUR-SALARY MOUTHS!!!!!!

aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. thank you.

Doesn't that feel better? People can be so mean sometimes. At my job it's because they aren't in direct contact with us. Since we're separated by the internet, they are very rude. I've never had so many mean things said to me just because I represent a company they're trying to do business with. I guess that's why most of us here are bitter.

Standing ovation on that rant!! I've seen so many fellow customers being insanely rude that I vowed long ago to never work in the service industry again. I hate people enough as it is, I didn't want to make it even worse. However, after moving up to Spokane, I've found that people here who work in service industries to be INCREDIBLY nice, and it's quite refreshing. I actually ENJOY doing errands because I know I'm not going to have any problems. And I know you're really nice, so anyone who's rude to you definitely has a problem! Me 'n Apollo should come up there and do some ass-kicking for you!

Actually, I felt quite a bit better after going off. I even thought about it today and felt... pleased? I don't know if that's the right word, but it it keeps me being nice to people, that's fine. I know most people are nice and they might just be having a bad day or something, but they just don't think about how it's making your day I suppose.
I saw how much I vented yesterday and I had to laugh... I think that was building up a little. :)
