Stinkin' credit cards

I have been paying my credit card bill, only really paying attention to the date due and not being late. Well today I looked at the account online. I am paying HUGE finance charges! In fact, about 75% of my payment goes to the freakin' finance charges! How am I supposed to pay it off if I can't put any money toward it?!? I emailed the bank asking them this and also asking them to lower the finance charge. Also, I was late on a couple of payments (November and December maybe?), so they lowered the credit limit, saying they would raise it back up when I proved to be a good girl. I have been, so I asked them to raise that back up. I didn't know it then, but it dings your credit when you have a large balance in comparison to the limit. It's great to have a large balance, but you can't use most of it or it looks bad. Ding. Since they lowered my limit, Ding. Jerks. They better put it back up! (I was wondering why the total never seemed to go down by much.)

On a totally different subject, I have been eating much better this week. Instead of fast food and fettuccine alfredo, I've been eating sandwiches and these noodle dinners that don't have much fat. I also took the advice of my sister and bought some of those cheap fudge bars for an ice cream treat. I could get more expensive ones that have 100 calories and 2 grams of fat (6 per box), or I could get the fudge bars for about the same amount of money that have only 90 calories and 0 grams of fat (18 per package!!!)! I'm not very good at drinking water yet though... Oh, and I've been using my Gazelle a bit. I've worked out three times this week and I'll probably use it again tomorrow and take Sunday off. I hope to have a bit of weight loss... even just a pound or two. If not, I'll be sorely disappointed!
(I'm weighing in on Sunday morning!)

One more thing: It seems that all the careers I'm interested in take Master's and more or whatnot. So I'm looking for a career that I can start in with just a Bachelor's degree. Those of you who know me... do you have any ideas? I know it's an impossible question because it's up to me, but I'm kind of stumped at the moment. I was thinking about archaeology and zoology... but I would need a lot more schooling and apparently with archaeology, jobs are few and far between. What's a girl to do?!?
Maybe I'll be a vulcanologist.

Oh, that reminds me. I was chatting with some of my classmates in my physics class and one of the guys looked down on me because I told him I was tired of living paycheck to paycheck and was back in school to get a career that actually made money. He said, "Uh, you're doing it for the money???" with a frown and wrinkle of his nose. He looked down his nose at me for that!!! I asked him what his major was and he informed me that he was going to be a gym teacher.

Oh. Well then! I think that's all I need to say about that.
